Multan Customs Adjudication decides seizure cases of Rs 15.806m in October‏

MULTAN: The Customs Adjudication Multan has decided various seizure cases worth Rs 15.806 million during the month of October in on-going fiscal year.

Deputy Collector Customs Adjudication Farhat Ali had concluded just 15 various seizure cases of Rs 1.926 million after completion of their legal proceedings of cases. Deputy Collector issued all cases order-in-original in favor of Anti-Smuggling Organization and Customs Intelligence in period of October. During the month of October almost 27 new cases have added in the list of Deputy Collector for hearing.

Additional Collector Fayaz Anwar also decided seven seizure cases throughout October after adopting legal process. The net values of seven concluded seizure cases have almost Rs 13.880 million. About Rs 23.431 million of 11 new seizure cases have been added in the period of October for adjudging.  Almost Rs 18.880 million pending cases are still waiting for final judgment in Customs Adjudication.

Collector Customs Adjudication Raja Tahir Majeed had not decided any seizure case during October. Four various tax evasion cases of Rs 275.222 million are still available for adjudication in Collector Customs Adjudication.

Customs Adjudication decided cases of tyres, auto parts, liquor, electronic parts, vehicles and others during October. They have settled all cases against taxpayers after hearing during the month of October. Almost 71 cases of various natures are still pending in Customs Adjudication Multan for adjudicating.
