Multan Customs cancels auction of seized vehicles & goods

MULTAN: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation cancelled the auction of seized vehicles and miscellaneous goods at last moment.

According to details, Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation has announced to conduct auction of confiscated vehicles and goods on November 28.Customs Intelligence and Investigation Multan cancelled the auction after the sit-in protest of religious party.

Customs Intelligence has given advertisement about auction in the newspaper and displayed banners outside the office for awareness of auction. As many as  nine various vehicles were offered for public auction including Toyota Hilux Surf, Toyota Corolla X, Mercedes Benz, Suzuki Swift, Toyota Vitz ,Toyota Corolla “G and Toyota Hiace Wagon .

Customs Intelligence cancelled the auction of vehicles and miscellaneous goods due to poor law and order situation in Punjab. Auctioneer Muhammad Akram also refused to reach at auction place due to protest in the routes and few routes of Punjab were blocked by protestors.

Customs cancelled the auction with a purpose that large number of people can participate in the public sale for generation of handsome revenue.

However auction of Anti-smuggling Organization will be held (today) according to announced schedule of Multan Customs
