Multan Customs clears 3,065 export consignments during ten months of financial year 2015-16‏

MULTAN: Customs Collectorate Multan has smoothly cleared 3,065 export consignments during the first ten months of the on-going fiscal year.

The customs collectorate has exported seven consignments from Rahim Yar Khan region through Air Freight Unit (AFU). Rahim Yar Khan airport is the second best option for import and export of various consignments through Air Freight Unit in the region for local business community.

Customs Collectorate has handled three consignment of export worth Rs10.615 million during this on –going fiscal year 2015-16 from Rahim Yar Khan Airport . While the exporters cleared 10 export consignments through Air Freight Unit (AFU) of Rs0.012 million in fiscal year 2014-15. During clearance of export consignments from Multan no consignment delayed or overstayed at the time of processing from Rahim Yar Khan.

Customs Collectorate approved various units for Duty Tax Remission (DTRE) of export from Rahim Yar Khan region. Multan customs have generated revenue of Rs46.103 million from DTRE in Rahim Yar Khan.

However export of Customs Multan has decreased but export clearances from Rahim Yar Khan is encouraging due to better facilitation of export for the local manufacturer.

Rahim Yar Khan export will increase gradually with the passage of time and create more job opportunities for the people if the FBR offers more incentive to the importers and exporters of the region and they may switch their imports towards this region .
