Multan Customs collects Rs.3912.939m during February

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate collected Rs3912.939 million revenue against assigned target of Rs.2693 million during month of February.

According to the details, the Model of Customs Collectorate Multan exceeded the revenue collection task for the February due to more import clearances of High Speed Diesel (HSD). The Collectorate of Multan Customs were assigned different revenue collection tasks under the heads of customs duty, sales tax, federal excise duty (FED) and income tax  from Federal Board of Revenue for the month of February.

Multan Customs collected gross revenue of Rs777.633 million against the assigned target of Rs.424 million under the head of customs duty for the month of February. The Model Customs Collectorate Multan has collected excess taxes in terms of customs duty.

The Collectorate of the Multan Customs has poised Rs1964.081 million against assigned revenue collection task of Rs.2225 million under the head of sales tax during the month of February. Sales tax collection was dropped at Multan Customs in last few months due to sudden decline in the Sales taxes. Sale tax revenue collection has been reduced due to increase in the local production of High Speed Diesel.

The Model of Customs Collectorate Multan has collected income taxes of Rs20.535 million against the assigned revenue collection of Rs.20 million for the February. Multan Customs has collected Rs22.572 million against the given tasks of Rs24 million under the head of federal excise duty (FED) during month of February.

Multan Customs has also collected additional sales taxes of Rs.1.951 million and collected Petroleum Development levy of Rs.1126.167 million for February. Generally, Multan Customs has surpassed the assigned revenue collection target for the month of February by 45 % excess collection than target.
