Multan Customs collects Rs3182.778m during July

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate generated Rs3182.778 million during the month of July of current Fiscal Year 2018-19.

Sources told Customs Today that Multan Customs collected Rs252.78 million under the head of customs duty during the first month of current fiscal year 2018-19.

The Collectorate fetched Rs244.49 million as customs duty during the corresponding month of the Fiscal Year 2017-18. It posted 3.39 percent growth in the revenue collection of customs duty collection during the first month of current economic year against the corresponding period of 2017-18.

Multan Customs collected Rs2041.13 million in wake of sales tax during July 2018-19. On the other hand Multan Customs collected Rs2465.490 million of sales tax during corresponding July’s economic year 2017-18.

The Customs Collectorate collected Rs4.60million of federal excise duty (FED) during July in FY2018-19 whereas it collected federal excise duty of Rs15.82 million during the matching month of July in economic year 2017-18.

Multan Customs collected Rs11.28 million from the income tax in July fiscal year 2018-19 but it collected Rs45.89 million in the same month for the previous monetary year of 2017-18.

The Federal Board of Revenue has not allocated annual revenue task to Multan Customs Collectorate so far but it made collection of Rs3182.778 million during July. The revenue collection target will be assigned very soon to Multan Customs after discussion with Chief Collector Central Region.
