Multan Customs completes recruitment process

MULTAN: The Model Customs Collectorate has completed the recruitment process of sepoys, driver, and gardeners.

Multan Customs was facing shortage of staff in their various sections to run their administrative matters. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had imposed ban on recruitment in all customs collectorate. However, the Multan Customs started recruitment process one year ago on the directions of the FBR.

Due to excessive retirement of Customs and ban on the fresh recruitments in the Collectorates, the Multan Customs was under-staff. The customs collectorate had requested the FBR to allow induction of new employees.

Multan Customs have done all fresh 27 recruitment’s of employees directly through Federal Public Service Commission. The customs collectorate has posted all 27 employees in the various field formations for the short time period. The department has made new staff recruitment purely on the merit basis without political interference through Federal Public Service Commission.

Majority of the staff have been posted in the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) and to fill the vacant staff position for their field formations. This fresh recruitment’s will be sent to Peshawar for their proper training course to perform their responsibilities in assigned areas.  Almost 21 fresh Sepoys including one lady Sepoys, two drivers, two gardeners and one duplicating machine operator have joined their assigned jobs after the recruitment.
