Multan Customs destroys expired skimmed milk, betel nuts & other seized goods at dry port

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement disposed of seized Contraband items including 9 tons of betel nuts, 5,000 NDP Cigarettes, 10 tons of Monosodium salt , expired Skimmed Milk Powder and other miscellaneous goods at Dry Port on 20th February (Tuesday).

In a concerted effort to curb illegal trade activities, authorities at the Multan Dry Port have announced plans to dispose of a significant quantity of seized contraband. Among the illicit items set for destruction are a substantial 9 tons of betel nuts, accompanied by 15,000 cigarettes, 10 tons of monosodium salt, and expired skimmed milk powder.

The disposal of confiscated contraband, including substantial quantities of betel nuts, cigarettes, monosodium salt, and expired skimmed milk powder, aims to prevent the proliferation of illegal goods and mitigate potential risks to public health and safety.

As preparations for the disposal operation advance, authorities call for continued cooperation from the public in reporting any suspicious activities. Through collective efforts and sustained vigilance, the Multan Dry Port remains steadfast in its mission to uphold lawful trade practices and foster economic prosperity.
