Multan Customs detains container loaded with engines, auto parts worth Rs 13.5m‏

MULTAN: Customs Intelligence and Investigation has seized a container which was loaded with engines and various auto parts during a crackdown.

Deputy Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Naveedur Rehman conducted an operation against the container. The Customs staff was deployed at various strategic points to foil the smuggling attempts.

A squad of the Customs Intelligence intercepted a container near Qadirpur Raan loaded with foreign origin goods. The Customs officials detained the container bearing registration number TKS-3026 and shifted it to the warehouse of the Customs Intelligence for the verification of goods.

During the physical examination of the goods, the Customs team found more than 50 Kabli engines of the various vehicles along with other auto parts.

The Customs team detained the container and goods due to forged documents.  The worth of the seized goods is nearly Rs 13.5 million. Sources told Customs Today that customs team has started investigations.
