MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs generated Rs10.05 million from auction of confiscated vehicles and miscellaneous goods.
According to details, Multan Customs conducted public auction of non-customs paid vehicles and various smuggled goods for the month of June at Dry Port Sher Shah. Confiscated vehicles and various goods presented in the auction were seized by Anti-Smuggling Organization in different actions. People from various cities of South Punjab participated in the auction process of Multan Customs.
Multan Customs offered 6 confiscated vehicles for the public sale including Toyota Passo, Honda Civic Hybrid, Toyota Corolla, Daihatsu Coure, Nissan X Trial, and Toyota Hilux Surf. Almost four vehicles were successfully sold out in Rs5.3 million during auction and other two were rejected during auction due to fewer price offers from bidders.
The Customs Collectorate offered 35 lots of confiscated goods in auction including ball bearings, POL products, welding rods, scrap of dismantled vehicles, memory cards, cosmetics, cloth, spark plugs, grease, DVD players, cell phones and others.
Multan Customs sold out only lots of High Speed Diesel, LEDs, auto parts, cloth and miscellaneous goods worth Rs 4.75 million during auction.
Assistant Collector Fahad Jamil supervised the whole auction process along with Inspector Qaiser Rasheed Khan to ensure the transparency.
