Multan Customs generates Rs60.034m through auction of smuggled goods & vehicles

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement generated Rs60.034 million through public auction of confiscated goods and vehicles lying at the State ware House.

According to details, Multan Customs Enforcement offered 25 confiscated vehicles of Honda Civic, Honda Reborn, Toyota Land Cruiser, Daihatsu Mira, Toyota Passo, Toyota Prius, Toyota Corolla ,Toyota Aqua, Toyota Vitz and others in the auction and sold out four various out of presented vehicles. These confiscated vehicles were sold out in Rs.4.9 million from auction of vehicles. All confiscated vehicles offered in the auction were latest model and non-customs paid which were impounded by Anti-Smuggling Organization in their different actions from jurisdiction.

Multan Customs offered almost 37 different lots of Skimmed Milk, almonds, curtain cloths welding rods, parachute cloth, tyres, iron scrap ,battery, submersible pump, Sofa set, shock absorber, hand bags, water pump motor ,five various lots of HSD and others. Multan Customs sold out different seven various lots of miscellaneous goods in Rs55.134million. All bidders show interest in the bidding of cloths, skimmed milk, spare parts and vehicles in the auction.

It is important to mention here that Oil Marketing companies were only allowed to participate in the bid of HSD in the auction. Deputy Collector Fareed ud Din Masood supervised the whole process for the auction of confiscated goods and vehicles at Multan Customs House to ensure transparency.
