Multan Customs hosts farewell party in honour of Collector Mohammad Tahir

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement Multan officers and staffs hosted a farewell party in honour of recently transferred Collector Muhammad Tahir who has performed his services for almost one year in the Collectorate.

Collector Muhammad Tahir (PCS/BS-20) from Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Multan transferred to Collectorate of Customs (Appeals), Islamabad recently. Collector Muhammad Tahir had joined Multan Customs as Collector in 2nd week of May  2022 and Multan Customs performed exceptionally well during his posting. Multan Customs Collectorate achieved huge revenue tasks under his headship and done remarkable improvements in the departments which will assist Collectorate in their future tasks.

He geared up the anti-smuggling activities in the jurisdiction by overhauling Anti-Smuggling Squad with new strategy and detected several dumping stations of smuggled fuels and private warehouses others in the Jurisdiction. Collector Muhammad Tahir achieved benchmarks in the Collectorate due to its active approach. Multan Customs Collectorate accomplished assigned revenue and also collected surplus revenue.

Collector Muhammad Tahir stated in the farewell address that he is pleased and encouraged to see high spirits and cooperation of all Officers and employees during my posting and we attained effective results due to mutual efforts of team work. Multan Customs is one of the major collectorate of Pakistan and we focused on all branches equally for accomplishing desired results. Chairman Federal Board of Revenue has shown satisfaction on performance of our Anti-Smuggling Squad. He advised to employees to continue their job with full commitment to accomplish future tasks. He advised fellow officers to remain focused, work according to laid down procedures and also, use administrative structures to redress grievances when needed. Collector admitted that he was lucky to work in a fully compassionate and cooperative environment in his stationing and he thanked Multan Customs for farewell.

Assistant Collector Hira Khan acknowledged Muhammad Tahir during his postings because he is one of the capable and diligent officers who has expertise over customs laws and procedures. He worked dedicatedly on set tasks throughout his posting in Multan which assisted Collectorate to achieve revenue targets. He extended his full support to achieve many milestones in future.

Newly transferred Collector Rehmatullah Vistro, Additional Collector Rana Irfan Shoukat, Additional Director Mumtaz Ali, Assistant Collector Maryam Haq, Assistant Director Customs Intelligence Asif Ali Sakhi, Assistant Collector Fareed-ud-din Masood and Assistant Collector Habirb-ur-Rehman and other staff of the Collectorate were also present on this occasion. Newly transferred Collector Rehmatullah Vistro has handed over honorary shield to Collector Muhammad Tahir on his outstanding work in Multan Collectorate.
