More than 20 employees of different ranks have been scrutinised here on Saturday in the Customs House and few of employees were also thoroughly interviewed by the committee formed by Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich. Attendance registers of the Customs House were also brought in front of scrutiny committee to check attendance of the employees and attendance registers were taken into custody by the committee in order to avoid any tampering.

In order to detect the ghost employees in Customs House, the superintendents of the departments were also called to identify their employees. There are few employees who are absent from their duties on the medical grounds. Some employees were also called for interview who were regular but they were in habit to go on leaves without informing departments. The department is trying to find out employees who were punctually absent from their duties during last few years.

The old attendance registers were also examined to detect ghost employees working in the Multan Customs House and almost whole strength of the employees were evaluated through this process to search out absentees.

Sources told Customs Today that the Customs House has not find any ghost employee during the investigation and all field inspectors and Sepoys will also be gone through the scrutiny process. The monitoring of the Customs employees working at the Multan Customs will make sure that all employees are authentic part of the department who are working and serving according to rules and regulations of the department.
