Multan Customs installs six CCTV cameras to enhance security at Customs House

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate Multan has installed six Close Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras in the Customs House for surveillance.

The cameras were installed on the direction of Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich to enhance security of the Customs House. Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich approved the installation of cameras at various places of Customs House, including patio, entrance gate, State Warehouse, backyard and anti-smuggling branch. These security cameras will ensure the security of the Customs House.

These installed cameras will also protect the parked vehicles in the State Ware House from any sort of damage because it was noticed that unknown visitors have stolen the various auto parts of the seized vehicles parked in the backyard due to unavailability of the security cameras.

The connections of the CCTV cameras footage will be seen in the Collector office on the installed LCD TV and collector have also assigned duties of one inspector on the monitoring of the CCTV cameras.

Due to personal involvement of the Collector Sarfraz Ahmad Warraich security situation along with vigilance of the Customs staff will be increased and prevent any sort of misconduct from staff at the time of performing their assigned duty.

These installed CCTV HD digital cameras will strengthen the security of the Customs House Multan and prevent from any sort of pilfered instance of any goods and make goods more secure in the Customs House.
