Multan Customs issues attachment warrants against M/s Hafeez Traders

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs has issued attachment warrant of defaulter M/s Hafeez Traders for recovery of Rs122,467 in imported consignments.

According to the details, Multan Customs issued several recovery notices to defaulter M/s Hafeez Traders located in Shah Rukn-e-Alam Colony for payment of dues and taxes which had been pending from them due to conflict of valuation rulings. The recovery department of Multan Customs had intimated the said defaulter couple of times for the payments of their due taxes but they have not replied.

Assistant Collector Recovery Muhammad Javed Mehmood who is also recovery officer has decided to attach their moveable and immoveable properties and bank accounts of the defaulter in order to recover the pending dues of Customs after their unsupportive response for due payment.

Multan Dry Port have assessed their consignment on one value while importers apply another value on the same consignments and they have also filed appeal against Customs valuation against the assessment which was also quashed after hearing the response of Customs Dry port.

Therefore, Multan Customs Department has initiated stern action against them to recover their pending dues; they maintained in the two various import consignments.

Assistant Collector Recovery Muhammad Javed Mehmood has been given the task of attachment officer for recovery of the due amount from defaulter by taking action against M/s Hafeez Traders by attaching their immoveable properties and moveable properties under rule 133 and 151 of the Customs Rules 2001.
