Following the instructions of Deputy Collector Saqib-ur-Rehman anti-smuggling squad took effective measure to curb smuggling in the region and started patrolling in Taunsa region by tightening monitoring of the movement of goods to intercept smuggled goods.

During checking customs anti-smuggling squad intercepted two different trucks which were loaded with Iranian origin ceramic tiles and blankets near Head Taunsa Barrage during their action. Customs teams found that Iranian origin tiles were packed in 200 cartons. While foreign origin blankets were packed in polythene bags. The said goods were coming from Quetta after smuggling from Iran and their destination was Multan.
