Multan Customs submits details of dual nationals to FBR

MULTAN: The Customs Collectorate has submitted details of the officers working BS-17 and above having dual nationality.

According to details, Federal Board of Revenue has asked Customs Collectorates including working in whole country including Multan Collectorate about the dual citizenship of their officers BS-17 and above. The Customs Collectorate has done scrutiny of their officers regarding dual nationality on the direction of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Multan Customs has given special questionnaire to their officers including collector, additional collector, and assistant collector for seeking details of their dual nationality. The forms after the directions of establishment division report to Federal Board of Revenue regarding dual nationality of officials.

Few simple questions regarding dual nationality asked from officers whether you or your wife or children or spouse are dual national. The Federal Board of Revenue is collecting information from officers on the directions of establishment division to compile comprehensive report on the dual nationals working on the key posts in Federal Board of Revenue and government departments.

If any officers working in Pakistan Customs or Regional Tax Offices found dual national during the scrutiny of establishment division then the said officer of civil servant will be given 60 days’ time to renounce his foreign nationality otherwise he will not continue his same job according to constitution.

The Customs Collectorate has completed his scrutiny report regarding the dual citizenship of officers of BS-17 and above on the direction of Federal Board of Revenue. There is no dual national found in the Multan Customs during said scrutiny.
