Multan Customs launches hunt to catch absent, ghost employees

MULTAN: The process of scrutiny has been initiated at the Model Customs Collectorate Multan to trace the absent and ‘ghost’ employees in the light of special instructions of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

According to the sources, the high ups of Multan Customs are nowadays trying to get a clue to locate absent and ‘ghost’ employees of the office, as the FBR has stated directions to the department to search out such employees who are getting their salaries without doing any duty.

The department has started the process of identification and for this purpose the working of the on duty employees is being monitored to apprehend the non-attendant and ‘ghost’ employees.

Deputy Collector headquarters Dr Muhammad Ali, Assistant Collector Faizan Badar and Deputy Superintendent Arshad Javed are assigned task to find the miscreant employees and for this purpose, nowadays, they are busy in conducting the interviews of working employees of the office.
