Multan Excise impounds 20 vehicles in general hold up operation‏

MULTAN: Multan Excise and Taxation Department has impounded 20 defaulting vehicles in the general hold up in Multan City.

Excise and Taxation Director Jaam Siraaj has directed the Motor Branch Department to conduct general hold up in the Multan city twice a week. The teams consist of Excise and Taxation Officers (ETOs), Assistant Excise and Taxation Officers and Inspectors.

During road checking, at least more than 300 vehicles were checked in various areas including Basti Malok, Shujabaad ,Vehari Road and Jalalpur  during whole day. Those vehicles have been crackdowns which were short of token taxes and six applied for registration have also been impounded.

Director Excise and Taxation has advised couple of times through advertisement to all the owners of vehicles to pay their motor vehicle tax in time and save from heavy penalty and impounding of their vehicles.
