Multan Excise recovers Rs 1.8m of property tax arrears during crackdown

MULTAN: Excise and Taxation Department has sealed 160 commercial and residential properties for non-payment of property tax.

According to Excise and Taxation department  they have sealed well known Noshab Theater for non payment of their property tax .Various teams were formed for crackdown against property tax defaulters in the city  under the supervision of Director Excise and Taxation Multan Jaam Siraaj.Excise teams conducting raids on various  properties of tax defaulters and they were sealed on non-payment.

Multan Excise and Taxation department  property branch have also recovered property tax arrears amounting to over Rs 1.8 million during property crack down. The properties whose owners had not submitted their property tax dues were sealed in different areas.

Excise has launched special campaign on the directive of Director Excise Jaam Siraaj after the revision of property tax target.

All the owners of properties  were issued final tax notices before sealing and directed to pay their property taxes at the earliest but they failed to deposit their due taxes.
