MULTAN: The Excise and Taxation Multan has sealed the 20 car showrooms for non-payment of professional tax.
The department has started sealing the car showrooms to recover the taxes as the owners of showrooms remained reluctant to deposit their dues despite receiving notices on several times.
Director Excise and Taxation Multan, Jaam Siraaj has formed the special team to launch crackdown against the defaulters of professional tax.
Excise and Taxation officer Fakhar ul Hassan Fakhar and Inspector Masood Qureshi has been assigned the task to nab the defaulters.
However, the officials de-sealed the showrooms after receiving the due taxes amounting to Rs 200,000 from the defaulters on the spot.
