Multan I&I seizes two solvent plants from Kot Sabzal

MULTAN: Regional Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) has seized non-duty paid two solvent plants of millions during their action from Kot Sabzal region.

Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Multan, Muhammad Saeed Wattoo, has instructed field intelligence staff to intensify monitoring efforts to combat smuggling within the jurisdiction.

This directive comes in the wake of a successful operation where Customs Intelligence and Investigation intercepted and seized two non-duty paid solvents plants near Kot Sabzal under the Customs Act, 1969.

Director Wattoo emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and proactive measures to prevent the illegal transport of goods. He commended the field intelligence team for their swift action and urged them to continue their rigorous enforcement of customs laws.

The recent seizure, valued at several million rupees, highlights the ongoing issue of smuggling and its detrimental impact on the economy. Director Wattoo reiterated the department’s commitment to curbing such activities and protecting national interests.

Authorities have also launched investigations to identify the network involved in the smuggling operation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
