MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Investigation and Prosecution (I&P) branch has issued summoned to owner of non-duty paid Toyota Land Cruiser for further investigation.
Sources told Customs Today, that ASO squad impounded non-duty paid Toyota Land Cruiser during their action on 11th January 2020. Anti-smuggling squad carried out action on the basis of received information from their source that non-duty paid vehicle moving in the city and said vehicle parked near High Court Office.
Deputy Collector formed special team of Anti-smuggling squad led by Inspector Abdul Samad who intercepted Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle in his custody. The said vehicle was parked near High Court Multan near KFC Chowk. Said Toyota Land Cruiser was bearing registration number of BF-9482 was in the possession of Advocate Muhammad Inamul-Haq.
Customs team found that said Toyota Land Cruiser was non-customs paid and was smuggled one during their investigation. Multan Customs Preventive Investigation and Prosecution branch lodged criminal case FIR no.1/20 against smuggling of said vehicle. The value of said Toyota Land Cruiser is Rs15 million.
Customs teams found that vehicle was in the possession of Advocate Muhammad Inamul Haq after thorough investigation and summoned him to join interrogation of the Customs Investigation and Prosecution (I&P) branch for further investigation in the smuggling of vehicle.
