Multan IR Intelligence soon to launch crackdown against tax evaders ‏

MULTAN: The Inland Revenue Intelligence and Investigation will soon launch a crackdown against industrial units and commercial importers to collect outstanding tax amounts from them.

The Inland Revenue Intelligence and Investigation has decided to take stern action against commercial importers and industrial manufacturers for the collection of revenue. They have collected taxpayers’ details from the Regional Tax Office (RTO) in this regard. The RTO has provided all details of industrial and commercial taxpayers along with their previous and existing tax record.

The Regional Tax Office is facing hurdles in collection of revenue assigned by the Federal Board of Revenue and they have also coordinated with them for the action against tax evaders for the collection of taxes.

The Inland Revenue Intelligence and Investigation has decided to take stern action against suspected industrial manufacturing units and commercial importers which contain high business volume but paying little taxes against their import and other goods.

The Inland Revenue Intelligence and Investigation is focusing on few industries which are involved in tax evasion according to statistics of the Regional Tax Office Multan.
