Multan Preventive seizes non-duty paid vehicles & goods worth Rs125.242m

MULTAN: Collectorate of Customs Preventive Anti-Smuggling Organization has seized non-duty-paid vehicles and miscellaneous goods of worth approximately Rs125.242 million in the first 15 days of November.

According to details, Multan Customs Anti-smuggling Organization has carried out anti-smuggling operations on the basis of credible information in the Jurisdiction during first 15 days of November in current fiscal year 2019-20.

The Anti-Smuggling Organization impounded ten smuggled vehicles including  Toyota Vitz, Honda Civic, Toyota Land Cruiser, Mitsubishi Pajero, Toyota Hilux Surf and others. Few impounded vehicles are found tampered and non-tampered.

Multan Customs teams have also seized huge quantity of smuggled Betel Nuts, High Speed Diesel, skimmed milk powder, dry fruits, branded cigarettes, cloths, spices and other goods during their actions in the jurisdiction.

These impounded vehicles and goods were intercepted from Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali region during crackdown of Anti-Smuggling Organization in the 15 days of on-going month November.

Multan Customs Anti-smuggling Organization has enhanced the patrolling in the suspected routes adopted for smuggling in the Jurisdiction to curb smuggling. Anti-Smuggling Organization is playing its vital role in the elimination of smuggling in Jurisdiction due to their crackdowns against smuggled goods and vehicles for the promotion of legitimate trade.
