RAWALPINDI: Islamabad Chief Commissioner and CDA Chairman Amir Ahmed Ali has said that revised Master Plan of Islamabad will be investor friendly. High-rise buildings will be allowed in areas that have been specifically chosen for business activity. We will enhance business activity without compromising our commitments to green and clean Islamabad as per the vision of the prime minister. He made these remarks during a delegation meeting of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) who called on in his officer here on Wednesday.
Islamabad Chief Commissioner Amer Ali informed that the Chamber of Commerce and business community will be taken on board about the master plan and he will visit RCCI very soon.
He assured his full support and cooperation in addressing core issues linked with traders, including encroachment, parking, repair work of link roads connecting twin cities and traffic congestion.
RCCI President Saboor Malik, gave a short briefing on Chambers current and upcoming events and highlighted key issues faced by the business community.
He said access road to RCCI’s Rawat Industrial Estate needs an immediate attention as industrial activity has been increased over the time. Hundreds of commuters daily move between twin cities so repair and expansion work on connecting roads should be set on priority. Anti-encroachment drives must be continued on regular basis, he further added. Parking has been a burning issue and as the city has been expanded so modern parking plaza should be established.
Former President Dr. Hassan Sarosh, Vice President Hamza Sarosh were also present on the occasion.
