Multan RTO surpasses revenue collection target of April‏

MULTAN: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made excess collection of revenue by achieving 102 percent target during the month of April.

According to sources, the office collected Rs 6,977 million against the set target of Rs 6,844 million during April. Major contribution of revenue to the Regional Tax Office has been generated from sales tax of Rs 4,419 million against the allocated target of Rs 4,281 million in the month of April. The Regional Tax Office achieved 102 percent collection of sales tax during the last month.

Regional Tax Office have collected Rs80 million against the set target of Rs105 million during the month of April. The RTO Multan achieved all heads of targets except federal excise duty during April.

Sources told Customs Today that Chief Commissioner RTO Multan Khawaja Muhammad Asif  Raza Saleem has taken effective measures to widen the tax net in his jurisdiction.
