NAB Court approves five days remand of CEO of M/s Jan Builders

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Court has approved the CEO of M/S Jan builders on five days remand for interrogation to NAB officials.

The CEO of M/s Jan Builders Jameel Khan was arrested by NAB officials on charges of violating imports policy. Jameel Khan imported spare parts of heavy and light machinery despite ban on such imports.

According to NAB officials the accused was benefited by customs appraisers deputed at Peshawar Dry Port and a recovery of Rs9 billion has to be done from the importer and customs officials who are also involved in this mega corruption scam.

While asking about the corruption carried out at Dry Port Peshawar from Assistant Collector at Customs House Peshawar Asma Javed Paracha said that customs department also initiated departmental inquiry against the accused involved in causing loss to national kitty after which it was referred to NAB KP for investigation.

Assistant Collector added that no effort will be leaved to give free hand to corrupt practices for causing loss to national kitty by corruption mal practices and fraud.

Assistant Collector Customs told Customs Today that customs department working hard to eliminate the risk of corruption under the leadership of Collector Customs Mohammad Saeed Jadoon.
