NAB Court issues non-bailable arrest warrants of Agha Siraj Durrani’s family

KARACHI: An accountability court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani.

During today’s proceedings, the court ordered to speed up the trail against Durrani, who was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) earlier this year in cases pertaining to illegal appointments, accumulating assets beyond means.

The court said that if the fugitives were not arrested, they would be excluded from the case. The accountability court also issued non-bailable arrest warrants Durrani’s wife, son and daughters.

The NAB investigating officer told the court, that Durrani’s front man and others were fugitives, while travel records showed Durrani’s family travelled to United States.

The NAB investigating officer also submitted the report of 12 fugitives in the court, which named Mohammad Irfan, Syed Mohammad Shah, Gul Bahar, Lohar Baloch, Shakeel Ahmed Soomro, Ghulam Murtaza and Munawar Ali as accused.
