NAB gives Rs12.61m to 40 affectees

LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore on Thursday gave cheques amounting to Rs 12.61 million to the 40 affectees of money doubling scam and Qasr-e-Zauk.

In this regard a formal cheques distribution ceremony was held at NAB office Lahore. Speaking on the occasion, the DG NAB said that the Bureau was strictly pursuing “Zero Tolerance Policy” against corruption for corruption free society. The NAB was working on a three pronged-strategy of enforcement, awareness and prevention to eleminate corruption which had started yielding positive results.  The NAB has so far recovered Rs 184.144 million from January 2017 to uptil now from the accused of different embezzlement scams, loan and bills defaulters. The NAB has distributed Rs 61 million since new DG Shahzad Saleem assumed charge.
