KARACHI: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched investigations into the smuggling of used vehicles and asked the Directorate of Customs Intelligence & Investigation, Quetta to provide all the relevant record.

The practice of vehicle smuggling especially of used trucks, which are banned to be imported into the country as per the Import Policy Order, has intensified. These trucks are being smuggled into the country in a very organized manner. The chassis of trucks are smuggled from Afghanistan to Quetta, then these are seized by the authorities leading to auctions. From these auctions, the particular cartel picks these up.
