LAHORE: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that new taxes had been imposed only on imported luxury items and these taxes will not affect the common man.

He was responding to the media persons after addressing a seminar on “The Role of Islamic Banking in Economic Development of Pakistan” here. Dar said that he remained finance minister for four times and was not involved in any sort of corruption during his tenure. He added that in 2014, the courts had also put such cases against him in the dustbin that again proved his innocence and non-indulgence in corruption.
