No proceedings in Customs Court due to non-availability of judge

LAHORE: The Special Court of Custom Taxation and Anti-Smuggling did not hear any case on Tuesday as the judge was on leave.

As per details, 17 different cases, including pre-arrest bail pleas filed by accused person Arslan Khan who is involved in smuggling case was also adjourned for next week.  Post arrest bail plea in another case of smuggling was scheduled for the day which is rescheduled for next week. Yar Muhhammad Yari was arrested by the Customs Intelligence in smuggling of vehicle parts from KPK to Lahore. The cases of customs, smuggling and narcotics were also scheduled for hearing.

An accused Asif Ali was also sent to judicial remand on extension in his remand.

A famous case of Lahore Customs against Fazal Khan was also scheduled for Wednesday but due to non availability of the judge the case adjourned for 18th of February.  Some other cases including smuggling, narcotics, tax evasion and mis-declaration case have been adjourned until next hearing as specials judge Chaudhary Ameer Muhammad Khan was on two days leave.
