“The officials due to not providing proper work place are compel to continue their working at different floors of the Custom House”, sources added.

Responding to a query, the sources said that the authorities concerned have allocated few offices for the director and additional directors at the 11th floor of the Custom House, but mostly officers including deputy directors, assistant directors and appraisers are still waiting for the allocation of the proper offices.

The sources further disclosed that the recent transfer/posting of honest and competent officers from the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs is also affecting the ongoing investigation into some significant cases.
