Customs Official Muhammad Rashid Qureshi informed Customs Today that he was withdrawing his monthly salary from the ATM of NBP, which exists in the premises of Custom House and is safe for withdrawing payment in the prevailing law and order situation. However; he shared his bitter experience as a street robber deprived him from his monthly salary while he was withdrawing it from a private bank near Sakhi Hasan Chowrangi.

Rashid Qureshi further said that he was robbed by two armed men motorcyclists on Monday morning when he withdrew his monthly salary from a private bank. However; Rashid stated that he was withdrawing his monthly salary through the ATM of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), when it was operational.

The officials further stated that they have intimated the higher management of NBP about the non-operational ATM, but they have not yet taken any cohesive action in order to make it operational.
