The issue remained inconclusive in the first meeting (held on September 20th) to ascertain any concrete measures to be taken by the government departments to probe the controversy.

The Chairman Committee after unsatisfactory response from heads of NAB, FIA, SECP, SBP had decided to debate the issue of off-shore companies in next meeting.

Sources in the Parliament said that the Committee even after passing 40-day did not decide to schedule the meeting.

While majority of people having off-shore companies have still not responded to the queries sent to them by the top revenue body of the country. These persons had not responded to the notices even after passing almost two months.

The FBR has informed the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue on Wednesday that only 94 out of 303 Panama nominees had responded to the notices issued since September 1 2016.
