PAC hails performance of FBR during last two years

ISLAMABAD: Public Accounts Committee’s sub-committee on revenues has appreciated the performance of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) during the previous two years in which 33 percent increase were witnessed in the tax revenue.

According to details, proceedings of the sub-committee was held under the chairmanship of Rohail Asghar. In which chairman FBR Tariq Bajwa, senior member Inland Revenue (Policy) Shahid Hussain Asad, Inland Revenue Operation FBR Ashraf Khan has specially participated on the invitation of Rohail Asghar.

Sources further added, that PAC sub-committee has reviewed in details performance of FBR and asked various questions about different matters from the chairman FBR and other members of FBR.  Sources also said that chairman PAC Rohail Asghar has appreciated the performance of FBR for last two years Sources added that Rohail Asghar said that FBR has done best efforts for the revenue collection for the year 2014-15 and collected Rs 2595 billion revenue.
