Pak-China Customs to attest evolution data through emails

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Customs and General Administration Customs Republic of China has decided to attest evolution data through emails. On the other hand, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed the authorities concerned to complete Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) project on priority basis while lying of fibre optics will be completed first.

Sources said that the customs authorities of both sides have decided to verify the evolution data through emails till the completion of EDI project. Both countries are in touch with each other to enhance communications measures. FBR authorities are of the view that after launching of EDI they will able to access actual volume of imports through China by containers and they will control mis-declaration.
