KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee Wednesday depreciated against the US dollar in open market and remained firm in interbank.
As per the local money market, the dollar added 25 paisas in the cash-free market for buying at 105 and for selling at 105.25, while it remained unchanged for buying at 104.30 and for selling at 104.50. On Tuesday, the greenback closed flat in value versus rupee on low demand from corporate and import sector in interbank and gained value in open market. The dollar closed at Rs 104.30 for buying and Rs 104.50 for selling with no change against the rupee. In open market, the dollar remained up in value in the open market following dull demand from corporate and private sector in interbank. The dollar closed at Rs 104.75 for buying and Rs 105 for selling in the open market against rupee after gaining 05 paisas.
