KARACHI: The exchange rate of US dollar against Pakistani rupee gained 8 paisa in interbank on Tuesday and was traded at Rs155.7 against Rs154.95 of last trading day, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reported.
In Open Market, the local currency was traded at 154.80/155.50 per USD.
The SBP further reported that in interbank the price of Euro appreciated by 9 paisa and was traded at Rs173.32 against the last closing of Rs173.23.
The exchange rate of Japanese yen shed 1 paisa and was traded at Rs1.42 against Rs1.43 whereas the increase of Rs1.12 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs204.43 as compared to last closing of Rs203.31.
Exchange rate of UAE Dirham gained 2 paisa after which it was traded at Rs42.20 against Rs42.18 whereas the increase of 1 paisa was witnessed in exchange rate of Saudi Rayal which was traded at Rs41.31 against Rs41.30 of last day, SBP reported.
