KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee Monday depreciated against the dollar in open market and remained firm in interbank.
As per the local money market, the dollar gained five paisas in open market for buying at 106.20 and for selling at 106.50, while it remained unchanged in interbank for buying at 104.50 and for selling at 104.70. On Friday, The dollar closed depressed in the open currency market after dull demand from private sector buyers. The greenback closed at Rs 106.15 for buying and Rs 106.45 for selling in the open market. It shed 25 paisas against the rupee. The dollar remained flat to close at Rs 104.50 for buying and Rs 104.70 for selling in interbank.
