Pak Rupee remains unchanged in interbank forex market

KARACHI: The Pak Rupee ended unchanged against dollar on Monday despite rumors of deterioration after IMF and Pakistan authorities on an agreement for new loan program.

The rupee ended Rs141.40 to the dollar the same level of last Friday in interbank foreign exchange market. The interbank foreign exchange market was initiated in the range of Rs141.39 and Rs141.40.

The market recorded a high of Rs141.41 and low of Rs141.40 and closed at Rs141.40. The exchange rate in open market witnessed deterioration in local currency.

The buying and selling of dollar was recorded at Rs143.00/143.50 as compared with last Friday’s closing of Rs142.00/142.50 in cash ready market.
