KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee Tuesday strengthened against the US dollar in open market and remained unchanged in interbank.
As per the local money market, the dollar lost 20 paisas in open market for buying at 107.20 and for selling at 107.50, while it remained firm in interbank for buying at 104.40 and for selling at 104.60. On Monday, the greenback closed flat in value against domestic unit in interbank and shed value in the open market because of dull demand by importers and private sector’s buyers.
The US currency closed at Rs 104.40 for buying and Rs 104.60 for selling in interbank. In open market, the rupee closed firm at Rs 107.50 for buying and Rs 107.70 for selling.
