Pakistan Customs 13 officers steps-up to BS-21

KARACHI: The Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has approved the promotion of 13 officers of Pakistan Customs of Cadre BS-20 to BS-21, adding that a notification in this regard would be issued soon.

According to details, Pakistan Customs officers of BS-20 including Adila Rehman, Fazal Yazdani, Sarwat Tahir Habib, Javed Ghani, Sumera Nazir, Abdul Rasheed Shaikh, Zahid Khokhar, Junaid Akram, Khawaja Umer Mehdi, Rubina Wasti, Imtiaz Ahmad Khan, Saleem Rahanja and Shoukat Ali have promoted to next Cadre i.e. BS-21.

The FBR Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) has decided to promote aforementioned officers on the basis of their outstanding performance and attend training course at regular interval.

The sources further informed Customs Today that the DPC would also hold few meetings in which it would consent the promotion of some other officers of Cadre BS-20 to BS-21.

It is pertinent to mention here that the promoted officers including Javed Ghani, Sumera Nazir, Abdul Rasheed Shaikh and Rubina Wasti are working at the Custom House, Karachi at different slots.

Javed Ghani is working as Collector-MCC Exports but right now he is on training; Sumera Nazir Khan is working as Director General of the Directorate of Customs Valuation, Abdul Rasheed Shaikh is working as Director-Directorate of Customs Valuation and Rubina Wasti is working as Director General of the Directorate General of Internal Audit-Customs.

It is pertinent to mention here that the FBR also notified the promotion order of the Director General of Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation-FBR Lutfullah Virk from Cadre of BS-21 to BS-22.
