Pakistan Customs announces Ashura holidays

SIALKOT: All Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Sialkot, Customs Intelligence and Investigation Department Office Gujranwala Region, Camp Office and other customs offices will remain closed in the country on October 11 and 12, 2016 during 9 and 10 Muharram-Ul-Harram.

The Pakistan Customs has announced two holidays by a notification. The all Customs Offices will remain open on October 13, 2016 as routine.

Customs Collector Syed Musaddaq Shah told Customs Today that about Muharram-Ul-Harram holidays, these holidays are calendar schedule whereas the officers and officials of Customs Department will perform duty during Muharram-Ul-Harram holidays turn by turn on Sialkot Customs, Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL). He further said that Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) will perform their duties as per schedule which will be prepared by Customs Department on Monday 10, 2016 by the Customs Collector Ahmed Reza Khan.
