Pakistan Customs to organize media briefing on narcotics recovery of 3.1 kgs

KARACHI: Pakistan Customs is organizing a press conference on Friday to elaborate the details of the recovery of narcotics weighing 3.1 kilograms being smuggled to Dubai through PIA flight.
On Wednesday, the Karachi Customs Preventive staff deputed at the Jinnah International Airport Karachi foiled an attempt to smuggle 3.1 kilograms of narcotics to Dubai. The suspect was about to fly through Dubai-bound flight PK-211.

According to Qamar Thalo, Media Officer Customs, a press conference will be arranged by the Customs authorities at Drug Cell at Air Freight Unit, Old Terminal, in this regard.

Later Narcotics were handed over to Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) while further investigation begun to trace out the smugglers.
According to sources, Collector Customs Preventive Tariq Huda would brief the media about the recent performance of the customs authorities in foiling smuggling bids at Karachi airport besides disclosing the names of groups behind the smuggling.
