Participants of 25th SMC visit Customs House Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Group of 25th Senior Management Course of National Institute of Management College Lahore visited Customs Collectorate of Appraisement and Preventive in Customs House.

The sources informed Customs Today on Tuesday that the delegation was received by Collector Appraisement Syed Ihsan Ali Shah and Collector Preventive Asif Saeed Khan Lughmani.

The group consisted of officers from Pakistan Administrative Service, Police Service of Pakistan, Secretariat Group, Pakistan Customs Services, Foreign Services, Commerce and Trade, Inland Revenue Service, Provincial Management Service and ex-cadre, etc. The group paid homage to the monument of martyrs and laid floral wreath on the monument.

Both the collectors briefed the officers of visiting group about how the Collectorates of Preventive and Appraisment Peshawar operates. The sources further informed that SMC provides mechanism for induction of skilled persons because it’s very important to upgrade skills capacity of public service to meet the demands of a modernizing and progressive state. The delegation was briefed about the history of Customs House Peshawar and Transit route.

The delegation of visiting group informed that main objective of senior management course is operationalization policy and strategy. The delegation further informed that SMC wing conducts course for BS-19 and BS-20 for promotion. The visiting delegates were given shields at the end by the collectors at Customs House Peshawar.
