ISLAMABAD: The Directorate General of Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Headquarters has ordered to impound more than four prime movers imported by Bismah International Construction Company on the suspicions of mis-declaration, smuggling and fiscal fraud.

As the movers are lying at containers terminal, Lahore and it is difficult for the PCA officials to physically impound the said movers, so the officials asked National Logistic Cell’s senior manager to impound the said vehicles imported through Goods Declaration Nos i.e. LAPR-HC-12143-17-02-2016, LAPR-HC-12139-17-02-2016, LAPR-HC-12145-17-02-2016 and LAPR-HC-12144-17-02-2016(3).

A notification of the PCA states that the company got clearance of the prime movers under para 5, 9 (ii) of Import Policy Order, besides alleging the officials of Lahore Customs Appraisement of releasing the said without following legal process and proper verification.

Therefore, the PCA using its authority under Section 168 of Customs Act, 1969 has ordered to impound the prime movers under Section 3 and 3 (1) of Import Export Control Act, 1950.

It may be mentioned here that the PCA is continuously issuing notices to impound the movers and its remarks for Customs Appraisement seem to unearth mega scandal in upcoming days.
