PCA recovers Rs 1.3 billion evaded by tax defaulters

ISLAMABAD: Directorate General Post Clearance Audit (PCA) Islamabad has recovered Rs 1.3 billion in wake of tax evasion during financial year 2014-15.

According to the sources, Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) sub organization PCA has recovered Rs 297 million of tax evasion during FY 2013-14 and during FY 2014-15 it recovered Rs 1.3 billion which shows 333.1% increased.

The sources said that PCA has recovered tax evasion of Rs 18.3 million evaded through violation of valuation rulings, Rs 879 million, which was evaded by misusing of SRO, while Rs 395.9 was recovered that had been evaded through mis-declaration. However, Rs 591,000 were also recovered.
