A source from FBR briefed Customs Today that FBR Chairman Tariq Bajwa has approved the suggestion of writing to apex courts of Pakistan, after that legal wing of FBR will appeal in courts for early decision of FBR related cases.

Moreover, FBR decided to decrease the number of lawyers in his lawyer panel which will save the institution millions of rupees.

The number of total pending cases of FBR in Supreme and High courts is 2300, in which revenue of Rs200 billion involved.

Furthermore, most of the cases filed were for the explanation of legal matters. The number was increasing every day and the amounts of cases solved so far were very few.
