Pesco teams nab 30 accused of power theft

PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) Surveillance Teams on Monday conducted raids in different circles and arrested 30 illegal consumers of electricity.

The Spokesman of Pesco said here, that following the directives of Chief Executive Anwar Ul Haq Yousafzai the team raided in different areas of Peshawar, Swat and Bannu Circles and nabbed 30 illegal consumers.

He said a surveillance team checked various areas in Chamkani sub division and nabbed 9 accused of power theft and tampered meters. Similarly during checking in the areas of Sarai Norang sub division 8 illegal electricity consumers were nabbed.

Similarly during the checking in Samar Bagh sub division of Swat Circle 7 direct connections including 3 direct connections of tube wells were found and removed. Three slow meters were found of a domestic commercial consumers.
